JSKE Joint All Grades Training Course with Dan Grading Assessment – 14th March 2026
This course is open to all students (ALL GRADES) of JSKE clubs. You must hold a current licence. There will be an opportunity to be assessed if you are hoping to go for a Dan grading this year.

University of Hertfordshire Sports Village, de Havilland Campus, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, AL10 9EU. Parking spaces available.
Time Schedule
- 11:00 – Registration
- 11:30 – First Session
- 13:00 – Lunch Break
- 14:00 – Second Session
- 15:30 – End of Second Session

Cambridge Karate Dojo Grading March 26
Date: Saturday 21st March 2026
Venue: University of Cambridge Sports Centre (Half Sports Hall Courts 5-8). See car park information below.
Examiner: Sensei Roy Tomlin MBE, 7th Dan JTKI / 6th Dan JKA
Schedule:
1-2pm Higher Grade Session (Purple & above)
2-3pm Lower Grade Session (White to Green)
3-4pm Grading for White to Red belts going for Orange to Yellow belts
4-6pm Grading for higher grades
Cost: £25 which includes training, grading and a certificate
Notes:
- If you are grading you must train one of the sessions. Training is part of your assessment. If you are a higher grade you are welcome to train both sessions.
- You must have a current JKA licence. Please bring the licence book either on the day or on the Friday before.
- Please sign up here as usual.
- You must pay £25 into the club account before the grading date.
- Do come training even if you are not grading. The cost of training is £15 whether you do one or both sessions.
- Please note you cannot request to do double grading. Double grading only occurs when Sensei Roy decides you deserve a chance once he has seen you in your grading.
Belts – from the last grading, we have agreed not to provide new belts. This is at a request of members who have asked this for sustainability reasons (and I agree!). I will be bringing in some second-hand belts, and if you would like to, please do pass on your old belt to those who need a new one. If you still would like to receive a new one, you can buy one from me for £2 each (I have a stock).
The list of those who have passed their assessment will be posted here under the tab “Grading Mar26”. If you are on the list and think you shouldn’t be, or you are not on the list but think you should be (because you have not been assessed) then please contact me a.s.a.p.
